FRP Liner for Ductless Fume Hoods

Chemical-resistant, Class A CS1000 liner board for filtered and ductless fume hood enclosures

Ductless fume hoods filter fumes through carbon or HEPA media and return air to the room instead of exhausting it outdoors. They are used in teaching labs, small research spaces and compact or portable enclosures where ducting is not practical. The liner inside these hoods sees the same chemicals as a ducted hood, so it needs the same chemical and fire performance in a lighter, easy-to-fabricate panel.

What Ductless Hood Liners Need

  • Chemical resistance to the acids, solvents and vapors captured by the hood

  • A smooth, wipe-clean surface that does not trap residue

  • Light weight for bench-top and portable enclosures

  • A Class A fire rating for the interior work surface walls

Why CS1000 Works for Ductless Hoods

  • Passed SEFA 3 chemical resistance testing across 49 reagents

  • ASTM E84 Class A: flame spread 15, and UL Listed under File No. E550115

  • About 1.7 lb/ft² at 3/16" thick, lighter than epoxy or phenolic panels

  • Cuts and routes with carbide tooling for filter openings, cutouts and service fittings

  • White, smooth matte finish that keeps the work area bright and easy to clean

Know the Chemistry

Like every liner material, FRP has limits. Hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid and mixed sulfuric/nitric acid rated Level 3 in SEFA 3 testing and can etch or swell the surface over time. Review the full SEFA 3 reagent ratings on our CS1000 test results page and match the liner to the chemicals your customers will run.

Supplied for OEM Production
